General classification
Tree is woody plant with a distinct main stem or trunk. At maturity, trees are usually the tallest of plants and their height and single main stem differentiate them from shrubs, which are shorter and have many stems.
Description
Perhaps the most important ecological function of trees is protecting the land againts erotion, the wearing away of topsoil due to wind and water. The trunks and branches of trees provide protection from the wind, and trees roots help solidify soil in times of heavy rain. In addition, trees and forests store water reserves that act as buffers for the ecosystem during periods of drought. In many areas the removal of forests has resulted in costly floods and subsequent droughts. Trees and forests also provide habitat, protection, and food for many plant and animal species. Then, they play an important role in global climate and atmosphere regulation, the leaves of trees absorb carbon dioxide in the air and produce oxigen that is necessary for life.
Description
Chemical materials produced by trees are used in tanning leather and in the manufacture of inks, medicines, dyes, and wood alcohol. Furthermore, trees are used in landscaping  homes, parks, and highway. In  regions with extreme climates, they serve as windbreaks or as shade against the sun.

Task 2
Text 2
Read the text below carefully and then answer the questions!
Bird is animal with feathers and wings. Birds are the only animals with feathers although some other animals, such as insects and bats also have wings. Nearly all birds can fly and even flightless birds, such as ostriches and penguins, evolved from flying ancestors.
Birds are members of group of animals called vertebrates which possess a spinal column or backbone. Other vertebrates are fish, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. Many characteristics and behaviors of birds are distinct from all other animals, but there are some simiralities. Like mammals, birds have four chamber hearts and are warm blooded having a relatively constant body temperature that enables them to live in a wide variety of environtments. Like reptiles, birds develop from embryos in eggs outside of the mother’s body
Highly developed animals, birds are sensitive and responsive, colorful and graceful, with habits that excite interest and inquiry. People have long been fascinated by birds, in part because birds are found in a great abundance and variety in the sme habitats in which humans thrive, and like people, most species of birds are active during the daylight hours. Humans find inspiration in birds capacity for flight and in their musical calls. Humans also find birds useful their flesh and eggs for food, their feathers for warmth and their companionship. Perhaps a key basis for our rapport with birds is the similarity of our sensory worlds, both birds and humans rely more heavily on hearing and color vision than on smell. Birds are useful indicators of the quality of the environtment, because the health of birds populations, mirrors the health of our environment. The rapid decline in bird populations and the accelerating extinction rates of birds in the world’s forest, grasslands, wetlands, and islands are therefore reasons for great concern.
